Kathmqndu l For Nepali creative producer Rakesh Shah, engineering and entertainment have developed side by side throughout his professional journey.

Originally from Lahan, Nepal, Shah studied Civil Engineering in Hyderabad before completing a master’s degree in Construction Project Management at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. While establishing his career in the construction industry in the United Kingdom, he continued pursuing his interest in music and filmmaking.

In 2023, Shah founded Aadarsh Productions to develop original Nepali, Hindi and Maithili content. Since then, the company has produced a growing collection of music videos and expanded into web series and feature films. Shah has also contributed as a lyricist, writing the Nepali songs Kasari Bhanu Timilai and K Timi Malai Maya Garchau.

His latest work includes serving as Creative Producer of Pratibairam, a multilingual feature film planned for release in late 2026. Through Aadarsh Productions, Shah aims to support emerging creative talent while promoting Nepali and Maithili entertainment to wider audiences.
