Kathmandu, September 3: Three Grade 10 students of Rai School-Ushna Gautam, Jasmine Sophie Acharya and Chhavi Agrawal have brought pride to Nepal with their outstanding performance at the World Scholar’s Cup 2026 Global Round in Bangkok, Thailand, held from August 28 to September 2.
Competing against nearly 1,000 scholars from 40 countries, Ushna Gautam secured second place in Individual Debate and was selected for the prestigious Debate Showcase. She also won an an Individual champain trophy were 20 Individual among thousands scholars won trophy ,and 11 gold medals in events including Writing and Scholar’s Challenge.
Jasmine and Chhavi won six medals each in Debate, Writing and Challenge events. The team secured 5th place in Team Debate, 22nd in Overall Team ranking and 22nd in Scholar’s Bowl.
The students have qualified for the World Scholar’s Cup Tournament of Champions, to be held in November at Yale University, USA.
The three students also proudly represented Nepal at the Cultural Fair, displaying the Nepal flag and sharing Nepal-themed T-shirts and badges with international scholars.
